Rupert is a sweet, social bunny with an adventurous spirit and a heart full of love. Whether he's exploring his space, tossing toys around, solving enrichment puzzles, or happily munching on treats and his favorite greens, he approaches life with curiosity and enthusiasm.

He enjoys spending time with his people and receiving affection. Rupert climbs onto his foster family for attention and happily soaks up head pets and body rubs. He's also wonderfully tidy with very good litter box habits.

Companionship is important to Rupert. He prefers not to spend long periods alone, and we believe he would thrive with a bunny friend to keep him company. He's also comfortable sharing his home with the large dog in his foster home, which makes us think he'll likely be adaptable to other respectful animal companions.

Rupert's journey hasn't always been easy. He was rescued in June 2026 after being abandoned in a park. During his first week in foster care, he stayed tucked away in his hidey house, only venturing out when no one was around to eat or use his litter box. Since then, he has made incredible progress and has blossomed into a much more confident bunny.

His experience being abandoned alone in a park left him understandably cautious about unexpected hands reaching into his space, especially when he's in his hidey house. When he can see you approaching and understands what's happening, he's relaxed, trusting, and eager to interact. It will be important for Rupert's future family to understand and respect his body language so he can continue to feel safe, confident, and secure in his home. For this reason, Rupert would do best in a home without young children.

Likes: Exploring, affection, greens, treats, apple sticks

Dislikes: Surprise interaction, spending too much time alone

Health: Healthy, neutered, and vaccinated
