Adoptable Hugo is a laid-back and gentle soul who absolutely adores head and cheek rubs and gentle kisses on his forehead. We were told that Hugo was antisocial, but that couldn’t be further from the truth! This sweet boy loves attention and will happily sit beside you soaking up all the love.

Hugo was bonded to another bunny, but sadly, she tragically passed away from flystrike, leaving Hugo alone and missing the companionship he was so accustomed to. Once his companion passed he was along outside in his enclosure. Once we heard his story we took him into care immediately because we were greatly concerned for his wellbeing.

We would love to see Hugo adopted into a home with an existing bunny who is looking for a companion, or with a family who is open to adding a second bunny. Hugo truly craves that special bond, and you can tell just how much he is missing having a bunny friend by his side.

We have not seen him play with another toys and seems mostly interested in food engagement. It’s like he’s not quite sure how to bunny. We know in time once he’s settled in the right home with the right love he will find that happiness again.

He is such a gentle, loving boy and deserves a second chance at happiness with a forever companion. ❤️🐰
